Beer Camp 258
The Czech Republic drinks more beer per capita than any other nation in the world. The majority of beer consumed is their famous pilsner, followed by its lesser-known cousin, the Czech dark lager. Our Beer Campers wanted to brew a stronger version of this style, which the Czechs refer to as “speciál pivo”. We start with a simple grist of Pilsner and Munich malts to provide the base, to which we add a pinch of black malt for a deep, dark color without heavy roast character. Expect layers of smooth malt flavor balanced by spicy noble hops and a clean finish, perfect for a cool Autumn afternoon.
