Hopped on a Peeling
Our pilot brewery allows us to play around with different techniques when brewing up new ideas and this beer is no exception. For this experimental ale we added orange and lemon peel in place of hops for the usual brewhouse additions, followed by a double dry hop during fermentation with Comet and Citra lupulin dust. The result is a complex beer that technically has zero IBUs, yet is balanced by a mild perceived bitterness from the citrus peel additions and Intense dry hopping.
