We aged a portion of our Foreign Export Stout in Four Roses bourbon barrels and as luck would have it, this delicious dark ale is ready just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. We used a blend of caramel and roasted malts in the base beer, which provides assertive notes of espresso and bittersweet chocolate balanced by subtle oaky vanilla flavors from its seven-month slumber in the dark belly of whiskey barrels.
