Cloud Circuit

Local Asheville band, Cloud Circuit, is a Gen Xers dream come true. They play the songs that you loved in the 90s (think Cake, Portishead, The Breeders, & Beck) and the songs that get you grooving from your current playlists (like Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, & Zero 7). Plus, Cloud Circuit will introduce you to some new tunes that will make you feel right at home with those trip hop & college radio station vibes. Married singers, Katie & Billy McCracken, weave beautiful harmonies together, perfected on the stages of WNC. Katie leads us on a melodic musical journey, then stops the bus and drops us off at a raging house party with Billy Mac on the dance floor perfecting his ‘air guitar’! Josh Vaughan thumps a mean bass and frankly, looks really cool while doing it. Mike Steininger oversees the keyboards and approximately 12 other instruments at once, but really excels at “laser and UFO.” Chip Steiner’s orange, curly ponytail usually comes undone while he drums his wild heart out and demonstrates his various vocal stylings.
