    The Asheville-based, Robert Thomas Band is a tightly-knit, multi-genre, keyboard/guitar-infused ensemble. Urban Sunset, the band’s latest CD, weaves a musical tapestry of jazz, prog rock, Celtic, and New Age styles, inspired by the music of Steely Dan, Pat Metheny Group, and Kansas. In addition to an extensive catalog of original music, the band’s set list includes a broad range of cover tunes: Sting, Steely Dan, Bruce Hornsby, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Al Jarreau, Ray Charles, Billy Joel, Todd Rundgren, Harry Connick, Jr., and Elton John.
