The Details

The start of Celebration season is a festive event. Once the first fresh hops arrive from harvest, the party begins! We first brewed Celebration in 1981, blazing the path for American-style IPAs and offering a new take on holiday beers, which are often spiced and sweet. Famous for its citrus and pine aromas, Celebration is bold and intense, featuring Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops—honoring everything we have at Sierra Nevada.

“Celebration is a perennial powerhouse.“

Do Xmas 2019 right with sierranevada Celebration IPA stuffed turkey breast!
⠀⠀
Notes: We infused our holiday stuffing with the fresh-hopped tastiness of Sierra Nevada’s Celebration IPA, then rolled it into a stuffed turkey breast. Holiday dinner + IPA = delicious.
⠀⠀
INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 medium onion, diced
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 apple, peeled and diced into 1/4-inch cubes
1 tsp fresh sage, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tsp parsley, chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
4 cups bread, torn in to bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 cup Celebration IPA
1 boneless turkey breast, about 2 lbs
1 tbsp olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
⠀⠀
DIRECTIONS
1) Leave torn bread pieces out overnight or bake for 20 mins at 200° F.
2) Heat oven to 350° F. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, cooking until onions slightly browned, 10 mins. Add apple, sage, rosemary, parsley, thyme. Cook for 5 mins. Remove from heat.
3) In large mixing bowl, combine onion mixture w/ bread, cranberries, beer. Season w/ 1 tsp salt & about 1/2 tsp of black pepper. Mix well + spread out on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 30-40 mins until bread is golden brown. Let cool.
4) Heat oven to 400° F. Butterfly turkey breast, place skin-side down & pound to 1/2-in thickness. Season w/ salt, pepper & drizzle w/ olive oil. Spread stuffing on top & carefully roll turkey around stuffing. Wrap kitchen twine around turkey breast & tie tightly.
5) Place turkey in roasting pan, drizzle w/ olive oil & season w/ salt, pepper. Roast for 20 mins, lower heat to 325° F & roast for 10-15 more mins until internal temperature of breast reads 155° F on meat thermometer.
6) Remove from heat & let rest for at least 10 mins. Slice & serve w/ gravy.

Deschutes Brewery - Bend, Oregon. One of the cornerstones of American beer culture and consistently rated as one of the world’s best breweries. Here are 3 enormous brews that show all the good things beer can be.
.
The Stoic 2015
.
Style: Belgian-style Quadrupel
.
A prized, potent quad of stirring depth and complexity.
.
Four nuanced fermentations. Aged, sequestered, in select rye whiskey & wine casks. Ergo a stoically brewed quad, with the spellbinding complexity of its medieval ancestors.
.
The Stoic 2015 is a great example of how these dynamic beers change in the bottle. When young, The Stoic sang a beautiful medley of pears, spiced apple, fruit, wine, “good wood”, very light tartness, some alcohol, and aged flavors of leather and pineapple.  We can’t wait to see how it has evolved since.
.
11 months barrel-aging in Pinot Noir (15%) and Rye Whiskey barrels (15%).
.
10.9% ABV
.
Jubel 2015
.
Style: Winter Ale / American Strong Ale / Barleywine
.
Affectionately referred to as “Super Jubel”, Jubel 2015 is an imperial take on Deschutes’ festive winter ale. Notes of toasted caramel, raisins, dates and figs are complemented by spicy and herbal hop aromas. Originally planned as a once-a-decade-ale, it has only been bottled three times: in 2000, 2010 and 2015.
.
12 months barrel-aging (50%) in Pinot Noir and new Oregon Oak.
.
10.4% ABV
.
Cultivateur 2017
.
Style: Saison
.
Rustic Brett notes of pear and apricot blend into this bright oak-aged Saison.
.
A Reserve release that’s straight from the farmhouse, Cultivateur represents Deschutes’ own take on a barrel-aged classic. Blending saison, brett, and sour styles to build depth and complexity, Cultivateur offers a crisp, rustic flavor profile perfect for sharing life’s simple pleasures.
.
Here’s to the finer things in life.
.
100% barrel aged in oak barrels for 11 months
.
8.0% ABV

🧝‍♂️♥️ CELEBRATION fresh hop IPA from sierranevada 🧝‍♂️ I look forward to this beer each year.... Christmas, well that’s a different story. Shoutout to my long time friend truxsniv for keeping it real with me on all this mom and holiday stuff. #thirstythursday #beerwhilecooking #beerme #mommyneedsabeer #celebrationipa ...

A moment to reflect.
As a craft beer supernerd, a common point of conversation is centered around the beer that flipped my switch from casual to centric. When put on the spot, I am terrible at answering that question. ‘Heady Topper?’ ‘Green?’ ‘Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA?’ All relevant pieces of my personal beer journey, admittedly. But the spark that truly started the fire? Here it stands. The Celebration Ale from sierranevada. The first beer I ever loved so much that I would buy it to the exclusion of all others, for the limited period of time that I could.
This is the beer that paved my path as a beer-lover. It was a beer I near-worshipped ten years ago. It still holds strong today. Happy Friday, and thanks for reading (if you did). What was YOUR first game changing beer? And have you had it recently?

After a bonkers week of traveling for #drinkbetterbeer — Boston, Westchester, Pittsburgh! — I finally get to spend a much-needed quiet night at home in the ol’ jungle living room with a little zombie-musical-British mashup (hello, aatapocalypse) and my first sierranevada Celebration of the season. Just one of the best IPAs out there, a malt-rich bridge between fall and winter, and a screaming bargain for $10 a six-pack. I do believe I’ll have several beers. For tomorrow is our kid’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. #sierranevadabrewing #celebrationIPA ...
