Our third Life and Limb collaboration is a strong, dark beer that’s rich, full-bodied and always evolving thanks to brewer’s yeast at work in each can. Life and Limb, Alive with yeast, also features syrup from birch and maple trees, including those on the Calagione Family farm in Massachusetts. Every year we collaborate with a different German brewery to create our Fall seasonal beer, Oktoberfest. When our German friends visit to taste the test batch and celebrate “Springtoberfest” here at the brewery, we also brew an imperialized version of this ever-changing recipe and age it in whiskey barrels. The intense hop flavor and high ABV is balanced by a light malt body and low bitterness, making this monster IPA dangerously drinkable.Read More
This rich, velvety Coffee Milk Stout pours jet black and is topped by a dense, creamy, cascading collar of foam. Dark malts create notes of dark, bittersweet chocolate, while the addition of freshly roasted coffee beans and lactose provide deep layers of roasty complexity with a smooth silky finish.Read More
At first glance, it might seem strange to combine coffee and hoppy beer, but really, the two flavors have a lot in common. Good coffee and hops both have complex and fruity aromas which create layers of flavor. No Middle Ground is brewed with fruit-forward hop varietals and cold-brewed coffee for a unique take on the IPA.Read More
One of the oldest rivers in the world, the French Broad is also one of the few rivers that flows north. We found this to be a fitting name for our collaboration with Biltmore Estate, which lies north of us along the riverfront. Brewed with barley from both estates, this rustic and refreshing ale combines grassy, floral notes with a crisp, lemony dry finish.Read More
