First brewed by our founder Ken Grossman for an overseas culinary event in 1994, this beer was a gift meant for pairing with food. Later, it won a gold medal, and now, we share the beer with you. An English-style IPA, this India Pale Ale is floral, earthy, and soft—a departure from the aggressive hop bombs of today. With a biscuity malt backbone and nuanced flavor, it’s a sophisticated beer for an appreciative palate.

Modern West Coast IPA

An old-school IPA back from the dead, lest we forget that today’s haze began bright. This West Coast ghost is uber crisp and proudly bitter, with hop notes of citrus and sweet fruit.

Blended Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine​

Some beers were meant for the barrel. Take Bigfoot and Narwhal—two monstrous beers that mature and transform in the woods. Five years ago, our brewers tucked these beasts deep away in our barrel room. Now, they emerge as one: Trip in the Woods Narfoot. Rich with flavors of dark chocolate and caramel, this highly limited release is a favorite among our brewers. ​

For this limited offering we pushed beyond the typical barrel-aged beer theory. We got our hands on some Reposado Tequila oak barrels and then aged our Otra Vez® Gose with Lime and Agave. This beer starts out tart yet juicy, with hints of lime. For the finish? The unmistakable silkiness of a classic Reposado. Tasting Notes: Tequila, Lime, Sour

Life & Limb is a collaborative effort, the brainchild of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Life & Limb is a strong, dark beer that defies style characteristics- brewed with pure maple syrup from the Calagione family farm in Massachusetts and estate barley grown on the Grossman "farm" at the brewery in Chico, CA. The beer is alive with yeast- a blend of both breweries' house strains-bottle conditioned for added complexity and shelf life, and naturally carbonated with birch syrup fresh from Alaska.

Silky smooth and full of flavor, this beer is a blend of our Barrel-Aged Ovila Abbey Dubbel and Barrel-Aged Ovila Abbey Brown Ale with Mandarins and Cocoa. With a deep mahogany color, the beer is rich with flavors of molasses and brown sugar with a hint of orange and a distinct dried fruit character from a year spent in brandy barrels.
